Bedroom Pop Breakout Julia Wolf and Bronze Avery Take Over Chicago’s Schubas Tavern

New York City singer-songwriter Julia Wolf and opener Bronze Avery made their debut in Chicago on Feb. 20, 2023 to a sold-out Schubas Tavern.

Avery’s rich, sultry vocals filled the venue as the crowd jumped and sang alone to hits like “Messy” and “BIBLE NAME.” His catchy pop melodies were perfect for setting the mood for the rest of the night.

After a short break, Wolf hopped on the stage as the crowd roared with cheers and screams, all eager to catch a glimpse of the singer running onstage. The “Gothic Babe Tendencies'' singer performed a variety of songs from her discography, the crowd singing in sync to every lyric.

Taking after her social media routine of “Sunday Confessions,” the artist took a break between songs to read “confessions” from the audience, including a proposal from a couple in the crowd. The energetic showgoers danced and roared through the night as Wolf ended her set. It’s safe to say both Avery and Wolf made quite an impact on the Windy City, and we hope for their return soon.
